SPORTS FACILITIES
The five S’s of sports training are stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit. DPS, BIJNOR helps children learn to control their emotions and channel negative feelings in a positive way through different sports as sports helps children to develop patience and understand that it can take a lot of practice to improve both their physical skills and what they do in school.
BASKETBALL :
Basketball is a team sport where one team, usually consisting of five players from each team play against each other on a rectangular court.
BADMINTON :
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are “singles” (with one player per side) and “doubles” (with two players per side).
Table Tennis :
Table tennis, also known as ping-pong and whiff-whaff, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball, also known as the ping-pong ball, back and forth across a table using small rackets. The game takes place on a hard table divided by a net.
LAWN TENNIS :
Tennis is a racket sport that can be played individually against a single opponent (singles) or between two teams of two players each (doubles).
CRICKET :
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a 22-yard (20-metre) pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps.
SHOOTING:
Shooting is all about confidence.
Students of DPS, BIJNOR are taught shooting which is a sport that builds confidence and thoughtfulness among the students.
KINDERGARTEN PLAYGROUND:
Is there anything that sounds more joyful than the sound of kids at play? The happiness on their faces and the sound of bliss in their voices show how much kids enjoy being able to play and engage with friendships. Oftentimes, school playgrounds are the foundation of friendships that last years. DPS understand the importance of a playground and has build a safe and kids friendly kindergarten playground for the little stars.
